Panda Eyes

Panda Eyes

While walking down the street
I decided to take a seat
To watch as people go past
Some walking slow others fast

Fashion and style came to mind
People have all different kind
Men in suits and a lady in a nice dress
A young man who’s hair was a mess

An old guy with a mullet hair style
Something I have not seen for a while
Emo’s dressed all in black
A guy wearing his pants to show his crack

Along came a girl with the blackest eyes
She sat down beside me to my surprise
Her clothes and makeup were not my style
She said Hello and gave me a smile

I did what was right
Said Hello back that is polite
I thought to myself why does she dress like that
And with makeup make her eyes so black

Until I remembered my younger days
When I did dress in a different way
Platform boots and pants with a flare
Body shirt and afro hair

An earring in my ear
My parents thought I was queer
People should not be judged on what they wear
Or the style or colour of their hair

They are just dressing with a passion
To show off the latest fashion
The person inside is who you should see
Not the clothes that wrap around thee

So with her I started small chat
We spoke about this and that
An old grumpy man set in his way
A young trendy girl enjoying her day

The oddest couple you could meet
Sitting there while resting their feet
An old man reminiscing days gone by
And a young girl with panda eyes
