(day 2) There has been a study that revealed the way people read a web page when they do a search on Google. What Google discovered is that the way we have always read from left to right and top to bottom caused the content in the top position on the left side of the page to get the most attention. The ads on the far right from top to bottom got a lot less attention. Well I know you are probably saying, "so what"! This is nothing new or Earth-shattering but.. The point is that the content on the left side of the page on the Google search results, top to bottom are known as organic results, natural results or some call them free results. The ads on the right from top to bottom are sponsored ads also know as Pay Per Click or PPC ads also know as Google AdWords. What all this means to you is, if you can get free traffic, natural traffic or organic traffic you can make more money for your efforts and investment of time and money. It is also important to note that organic search results are clicked on 5 to 1compared to paid (PPC) ads. People aren’t stupid and are not easily fooled. Because of this fact most people look for organic results before turning to pay per click results because they are more "trustworthy". The Bottom Line... If you are serious about your business then you need to seriously take a look at gaining rankings in the organic search results. The popular word for this, in case you didn’t know, is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Ranking number one gets you free and targeted traffic. At least half of your online effort should be concentrated here because this is where “the money” is. Getting into the top ten search results has always been a subject that has produced over-hyped and often flat out ridiculous strategies that have been sold repeatedly by “gurus” in the market. The top professionals in the industry do not subscribe to hyped up products. They stick to their guns by working and perfecting their strategy for online success. Those that are “making it” in this business have no need to search for a “better” strategy. By the end of this mini course that “better” strategy will be laid out for you with undeniable evidence to support it as being factual. To make a long story short, the days are over for secrets and tricks. Have they made you or anyone else a long-term, SUSTAINABLE income? This is a map that was produced from a study that shows where the eyes of the user frequent the most on Google's search engine results pages. As you can see, people who search for information on the Internet tend to look at “organic” listing first. The point of this lesson is to help you understand that the way to higher profit is to concentrate on gaining high rankings in all the major search engines, especially Google. Your investment of time and overall reward of money by optimizing your website for high rankings on the search engines is much more rewarding and makes more sense from a profit perspective than other forms of advertising your website. It is not hard to rank if you know “HOW TO RANK”! Just like anything else, once you know how then it is a no-brainer. Here's the rub... How to Rank will probably go against everything you have been taught. How to Rank has changed very recently. Those who know the secret to high rankings have had no problems and will never have any problems. THE PROBLEM is... The fact that this "secret" has been closely guarded by top SEO firms and top fortune 500 Internet companies for about 3 years now. You won't find a How To guide on this anywhere. It is my goal to "break the silence" and cut through all the mis-informative hype and give you the straight facts. The problem is the fact that very few people (if any at this point) are teaching a very "exact" way of doing this. Some allude to it but they are not experienced enough with it to teach it effectively.
