Small business owners, many of whom take my online and/or San Francisco SEO trainings, often go away with what I call the “exploding head” phenomenon. There is so much information out there on search engine optimization, so many to do’s starting with identifying your best keywords, then proceeding to page tag / tag structure, going thru links and link building, not to mention social media and social mentions… That even after a well-organized course, their heads explode with information.
What does this (often) produce? Analysis paralysis. The feeling that there is just so much to do to get one’s website that it’s overwhelming, I don’t know where to start, I don’t know what is more important, what were those tags again?, should I blog first, or build links first, create landing pages first, or optimize my home page… And on and on and on.So some strategy is needed. A guide is needed. A step-by-step workbook to what to do when, where and how to succeed at small business SEO.
Free SEO Book – Ask for Your Free Review Copy of the SEO Fitness Workbook
For the first time, I am allowing non-students to get a full copy of my SEO workbook, with one caveat: that they read it, and then write an honest review on Amazon.com about the book. I am hoping to encourage an active discussion about the tips, tools, and travails in SEO that work (and don’t work) for busy small business owners and marketers. And, of course, I hope to get more publicity for my books.
Many people after all, lack the funds or the time, to take my full SEO trainings either online or in San Francisco.
So to ask for a free SEO book review copy, just click on the link, here. All I ask is a review in exchange – good, bad, ugly, wonderful, terrible – whatever you want to write. (I have thick skin).
A Note on Amazon Book Marketing
Part of my intention in releasing my SEO Workbook for free, is to better understand Amazon / e-book marketing. Where I live – Fremont, California – there are essentially no bookstores left… So book buying has become an online experience, exclusively. No more browsing. Just searching on Amazon and possibly getting referred to books by influencers. How does this work? What does this mean for the future of book publishing? Is SEO for books a new and emerging market? How might that work?
My first goal is to find out by e-marketing my own books, and seeing what (if anything) happens. Here we go!
