IUB announces B.A/B.Sc result

Thursday, August 18, 2011 - Bahawalpur—The Islamia University, Bahawalpur has announced the result of the B.A/B.Sc Annual Examinations-2011 here today. The top 5 positions out of 6 were achieved by the girls while all the top 3 positions in the B.Sc examination-2011 were claimed by the girl students of the Punjab College, Rahim Yar Khan. The pass percentage of the B.A Annual Examination-2011 remained 34.53% as 4546 candidates have been declared passed out of 13127 while in B.Sc. 54.50% as 2098 candidates passed out of the 3849 candidates.

Miss Sana Saleem topped in the B.Sc. and got 705 marks out of 800 while Miss Faiza Iftikhar got 2nd position with 702 marks and Miss Irum Ibrahim remaind 3rd got 691 marks. Miss Umme Habiba got 1st position in B.A obtained 674 marks out of 800, Muhammad Umer Latif got 2nd position with 672 marks while Ayesha Yasmin remained 3rd with 659 marks.

The Vice-Chancellor, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Prof.Dr.Muhammad Mukhtiar was the chief guest on the occasion who awarded cash prizes to the position holder candidates and congratulated the students, their parents and teachers. He said that efforts were underway to make IUB one of the leading universities of the world to provide high quality academic facilities to the students of this area.

Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar has congratulated the position holders on their excellent performance in B.A/B.Sc Annual Examination 2011. According to the spokesman of the university Shahzad Ahmad, the VC was addressing participants of ceremony organized to declare the results of B.A/B.Sc annual examination 2011 at Abbasia Campus, which largely attended by senior faculty members, principals of affiliated colleges, students and parents.

The VC also expressed hope that the students will not consider the seeking of education as a source to get employment, but they must play their vital role to promote Islamic values in the society after getting adorned with the jewel of education.
